Project Overview

The Life Sciences Awards recognizes excellence in Scotland’s life sciences sector. FigmaFy was tasked with designing and building the award's website on WordPress using Elementor to create a visually engaging and user-friendly platform.

The Challenge

The site needed to present key event details, including the awards ceremony, conference, and sponsorship opportunities. The goal was to create an intuitive experience for both attendees and sponsors, with easy navigation and clear calls to action.

The Solution

FigmaFy converted the Figma design into a fully responsive WordPress site, leveraging Elementor for flexible design and quick updates. Key features included:

Technical
Implementation

Dynamic Gallery Slider
We developed a custom thumbnail gallery slider with a "view more" button for additional images, utilizing Custom Post Type UI and custom code.

Custom Popup
We then built a tailored popup feature that was not available in Elementor's default settings and implemented it with custom code.

Custom Styling
We used a free WordPress theme and enhanced it with custom styles to align with client branding.

Timeline

The project was completed within 2.5 weeks, ensuring a quick turnaround with all elements thoroughly tested and launched on time.
